Home Mole Removal Methods- Are They Really That Effective And Safe Or...?

By Ada Jacob

Nowadays, there is no need to go in for surgery to have your moles removed. You can even be basking in the comfort of your own home while removing your moles without any complications and risks. This seems to be the message of gazillion home mole removal creams. But is that really so and do they really work?

Most of home mole removal creams advertise that for 40 to 80 bucks you can have your body rid of any discoloration and in record time too, only a month. However, what they don't tell you is that every skin type is different and that the same cream can give different effects. What seemed to work for a friend of yours does not necessarily mean that it will work for you as well? Redness, blistering and other side effects we-re never even aware of could also be caused by the use of these creams. Some scarring could even come out of it too, leaving your skin marked even more.

Yet another method for home mole removal that is a definite no-no is shaving of the mole. It is akin to surgery and, in surgical procedures, you should never do it in an unsterilized environment such as your home and by an unqualified person (such as yourself). Many people are putting themselves at risk because they are not fully aware of the grave consequences of these procedures going wrong. It is important to do this in a part of the home that is free from any sharp objects.

There are many Internet sources talking about natural home mole removal methods and you can get a lot of tips or suggestions from them. They are very vocal about using many kitchen ingredients, such as apple cider vinegar, garlic, or bloodroot. Using a sterilized needle, scratch the surface of your mole. Afterwards, using a small cotton ball dipped in apple cider vinegar, a piece of garlic, or bloodroot paste, place them on top of the scratched mole and leave it on overnight. It has to be understood that even though they are all edible food items, all of the above can seriously burn the skin and leave a mark.

Although these products and home mole removal techniques are lauded by most for being fast and effective, they also clearly state that scarring is a possibility. Moles are quite easy to remove, but if they are replaced with scars that are harder to erase, you'd have an even bigger problem. Even professionals are having a hard time removing scars.

I am personally in favor of leaving things in the hands of a professional. You don't want to pull out your tooth by yourself when you can have a dentist do it, right? That-s the same thing for moles: why should you remove it when you can have a surgeon do it for you? Should you be faced with these thoughts, you only have to think of the consequences to help you out.
