How To Find An Effective Natural Treatment For Eczema

By Elinor Tran

A skin disorder referred to as eczema affects approximately eight percent of the world's population. The condition is associated with chronic inflammation and unsightly scaling, crusting and flaking. It also causes the sufferer to feel a chronic itching, burning sensation. It is the latter symptom that often encourages patients to look for a natural treatment for eczema.

Homeopathic treatments can be very helpful in cases where conventional medications have failed to remedy the problem. However, a person may need to try more than one remedy before the ideal cure is found. Below are some of the most effective natural cures for the disorder:

Red clover oil is a good remedy to consider for those who wish to alleviate some or all of their symptoms. The oil is a popular favorite with many individuals because it can be placed directly on the rash. However, it is also available as a dietary supplement and can be taken in capsule form.

Green tea is also a simple, but effective remedy for the aforementioned condition. Green tea is renowned for its numerous health benefits including its anti-inflammatory properties. Three cups a day are recommended for those who wish to achieve satisfactory results.

Evening primrose oil and black currant are also very helpful treatments. This is due to the fact that both oils are rich in essential fatty acids, which are used to treat a wide variety of skin disorders and rashes. Such supplements are commonly sold in capsule form and the appropriate dosage will depend upon the patient's weight. However, 250-500 mg of each supplement taken three times a day is considered safe for most adults.

As mentioned above, a person may need to try more than one natural treatment for eczema before the ideal supplement is found. In addition, certain individuals use several of the aforementioned remedies and find relief in specific combinations. However, it is always wise to discuss the use of any home remedy with a medical doctor.
