All of these surgical procedures need to be done in a hospital, clinic or in a doctor's office. They can involve a lot of expense and considerable pain. Let's look at the three methods of surgery.

2. Cryosurgery Wart Removal - In the cryosurgery surgical treatment the health practitioner will freeze the wart inducing a blister to form under it that makes it easy to get rid of. The doctor does this by using an applicator to put liquid nitrogen directly onto the wart. This kind of surgery usually does not leave scars but it can be very painful.

3. Electrosurgery Wart Removal - Electrosurgery is the most common kind of surgical procedure to get rid of warts on feet. Electric current is passed through a thin needle which is inserted into the wart tissue and this would help to burn the wart off. This method can leave minor scars on the foot.

4. Wart Laser Surgery - Laser surgery is a very effective method of getting rid of warts but it is usually the last choice as it is very painful and very expensive. Laser surgery can help to eliminate the warts for good and they will not recur again but sometimes scarring can take place.

5. Remove Warts at Home - Salicylic acid is the main ingredient in many over the counter pharmaceutical products that are used to get rid of warts on feet. Regular application of these salicylic acid creams for about a 30 days or so, can help to remove the warts completely. After the salicylic acid softens the tough wart tissue it can be removed.

6. Tape Your Warts - A common and popular home method of removing Plantar warts on the feet is the use of duct tape. The duct tape should be placed over the wart for approximately a week and should then be removed. Soak the wart in hot water and then use a pumice stone or other abrasive to remove the wart. Some people also recommend placing a small piece of garlic under the tape because its oil helps to soften the skin and kill the HPV virus.
