How To Put On Tanning Bed Lotions

By Veronica Cappelletti

Sometimes you do not have the time to get a nice tan. Using tanning bed lotions will shorten the amount of time it takes to have a healthy glow to your skin. You cannot use any lotion, it must be one that will not damage the bed.

Going to a salon to give your skin that healthy, sunny glow is popular no matter where you live. In sunny climates people go to avoid the harmful UV rays of the sun. In regions with little sunshine, people use them because it is hard to get a tan without spending all day outside.

Regular tanning lotions use chemicals to increase the production of melanin, the substance that gives your skin color. They are activated by sunlight. This is not the same thing as a sunblock. You may actually look tan, but feel burned when you use one.

Anytime you are outside you should have on a sun block. You can use another product to help you tan underneath the block. A much safer and faster way to get some color is to use a self tanner. It will dye wherever it touches your skin. It is important to put on an even coat, covering all spots, to have it look good.

It takes almost as much time to achieve a tan at a salon as it does to get one naturally. There is just more available time in a tanning bed. The rainy weather of spring will keep you from an early summer tan unless you go to a salon to get things started.

In case you did not get started early enough, use tanning bed lotions. This will keep you from having to make as many trips to the tanning beds. A normal lotion will damage the beds and you could get in trouble with the owners.
